Grass on the Hill

Thrusting through the snow
Golden stalks of brittle grass
A harp for the wind

Well said. I love the idea of a harp. Thank you.

It was a very stressful day yesterday. The school district- wide semester final was upon us.

After reading some of your work, I headed down to the lunchroom. I stayed in my room too long; I was stuck making my way through all of the sardined-students. Mrs. Dutton, an older science teacher, was monitoring traffic at the bottom of the last staircase. She was smiling at me. When I got close enough she said, "You are somewhere else".

I was. I was with you.
